Which Vista Operating System (OS) for my PC?

We all are familar with the old Windows XP operating system. When coming to upgrade to a newer Windows Vista OS, we are not quite sure which one is right for us. Excluding the business editions, three editions are suitable for home use. They are (1) The Basic Edition, (2) The Home Premium Edition and (3) The Ultimate Edition.

The Home Basic Edition provides the basic tools and accessories which are sufficient for those who only need the computer for emailing and some simple Internet surfing and computer tasks.

The Home Premium Edition is the one I would like to recommend to most users. In addition to what you will get in the Home Basic Edition, you are also able to burn movies to DVD and use the Windows Media Center to organise and play your media files. If you have a TV tuner installed, you can also watch and record TV programs.

The Ultimate Edition costs more than those mentioned above. It has all the features mentioned in the Home Premium Edition together with some business features available in the Business Edition. This edition is not really necessary for home users.
